Meet Daryl Davison, our Development Director

When God calls, the direction of our lives can change in ways we never imagined. What began as a leap of faith for Daryl, led him through unexpected challenges and blessings, ultimately guiding him to Amazing Discoveries. His story if one of faith, perseverance, and the joy of serving the Lord wholeheartedly.
After many years in law enforcement, I left a position I truly enjoyed to work for the Lord full-time. This was a life-changing decision for both my wife and me. I was inspired by the work of a planned giving representative from a well-known media ministry and sought to learn how to serve God in a similar capacity. In faith, I accepted a position with a conference that required us to move across the country. However, I felt the Lord had more for me, as I strongly desired to work for an evangelistic ministry. Eventually, I was offered a position with the Adventist Media Center, where I worked in Planned Giving and Development for a prominent ministry.
Life was good, and I truly enjoyed traveling, meeting with donors, and assisting people with their estate plans. After some organizational changes, I found myself looking for a new position. I prayed for guidance and started my own consulting venture. As time passed, I even considered returning to law enforcement. I did take a position as a uniformed transit officer, which was different from my previous role as an investigative agent, but I never gave up my desire to work with others in development and planned giving. One evening, I was injured in the line of duty, which brought an end to that position.
Shortly after my injury, I received a call from Amazing Discoveries, asking if I would be interested in working with their donors. The rest, as they say, is history. For over five years now, I have happily worked at AD and consider it a privilege and a blessing. Once again, I get to speak and meet with donors (whom I consider friends) and help them fulfill their wishes to support the vital work AD is doing now, as well as enabling them to leave a legacy as they await our Lord’s return.
I first learned about AD years ago when a friend from Bible study shared a DVD series with me. My eyes were opened to so much more than the status quo of modern Adventism. This information was life-changing, and I wanted to learn more. The Lord has a way of guiding us to where He wants us to be, even if we sometimes take different routes. I am blessed daily not only to work with an amazing team but also for a ministry that stands bold, preaching the truth to a dying world.
My wife and I are experiencing spiritual growth daily, and the impact AD has had on my life is priceless. I am honored and blessed to serve the Lord every day, and to do so while working here at Amazing Discoveries.
May The Lord Bless you abundantly!
