Meet Tammie Burak, Communications Team Member
Discovering Meaning through Amazing Discoveries
What began with worn VHS tapes, paused and replayed again and again, became part of a much deeper journey—one that transformed not only her understanding of faith, but the direction of her family’s spiritual life.
Today, as part of the Amazing Discoveries team, Tammie is a tremendous blessing and shares how God used this ministry to bring conviction, reformation, and a deeper understanding of His love.
Read her powerful testimony below.
“Sharing the Gospel…now comes from a deep desire for others to experience God’s love and salvation.”

My husband, Randolph, and I were first brought into contact with the work of Amazing
Discoveries in the 1990s, when a family member excitedly told us about this new ministry she’d
discovered. We watched Total Onslaught and The Genesis Conflict on VHS, stopping,
rewinding, and rewatching the eye-opening content over and over again.
The effect the ministry has had on our family has been enormous. I became an Adventist a little
more than 10 years before encountering AD and really didn’t understand what it meant to be an
Adventist. I came into the church because I was convicted of the correctness of the Sabbath
and the reasonableness of plant-based eating. I had nothing more than superficial ideas about
the heavenly sanctuary, the Three Angels’ Messages, or any of the other foundational teachings
of Adventism. I knew nothing of Adventist history and was not at all convinced that Ellen White
spoke God’s messages to His remnant.
My husband, who’d been raised by his Adventist mother, but whose father was a nominal
Catholic, attended campmeetings through his childhood and teen years and went to an
Adventist college. Together, we agreed that going to church on Sabbath was important and we
shouldn’t eat pork. But, to us, being Seventh-day Adventist wasn’t a whole lot more than that.
“Until God reached us through the ministry of AD.”
It was then that we became convicted that our lives needed reformation, and we started to change. Family study and worship became a priority. We started to believe that time was short and that we had work to do for the Lord in reaching those around us with the truth about God’s love and plan to save them.
Over the years, as we’ve studied and continued watching content from AD, we’ve gained a
deeper understanding of God’s love for us. This has made all the difference! Sharing the Gospel
used to be an awkward, unpleasant thing to do from time to time. Now it’s a natural and
constant impulse that comes from a deep desire for others to also experience God’s love and
salvation.
Working with AD has been an added blessing and I count it such a privilege that God has
allowed me to be a part of this ministry. My greatest joy is in studying the truths of our faith and
sharing them with others. In the process, I’ve learned so much and have grown spiritually as a
result. God constantly challenges me with a greater revelation of light from the Scriptures and
counsel He’s given us through the ministry of Ellen White. Every day, I learn something new and
amazing about God’s awesome love for us. What a delight! God is so merciful and generous!
Thank you for supporting this ministry! Your support has played a role in my conversion and
spiritual growth, and that of so many others. Please remember us all in your prayers. May the
Lord bless you with a deeper sense of His love with each passing day.
Yours in Christ,
Tammie Burak
